TOUR FROM MARRAKECH TO MERZOUGA DESERT IN 4 DAYS ADVENTURE

DAY 1: TRAVEL FROM MARRAKECH TO AIT BENHADDOU KASBAH AND OUARZAZATE STUDIOS TOWARDS DADES VALLEY

The private driver for your Marrakech to desert tour will take you across the Tizi n'Tichka Pass (2260m) while providing spectacular views of the mountains and Berber villages along the route. Stop for lunch and a visit to Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. (This well-known kasbah has served as a setting for more than 20 films.) Pass through Ouarzazate and proceed to the Valley of Roses and the Dades Valley, the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs, and the Dades Gorges, where we will spend the night.

DAY 2: TRANSPORT FROM DADES GORGES TO ERG CHEBBI NEAR MERZOUGA AND CAMEL RIDE TO CAMP

Breakfast served at the hotel. Depart towards the Todra Gorges, a gigantic fault that rises to 300 meters in a small valley densely forested with palmeries and Berber villages. After lunch at the Gorges, you will journey farther into the desert to the little settlement of Merzouga, where you will camel trek through the stunning Erg Chebbi Dunes. You'll spend the evening in a bivouac (camp), eating Moroccan food and sleeping in a traditional Nomad camel hair tent.

DAY 3- MERZOUGA TO OURZAZATTE :

If you get up early enough, you can see the sunrise, when the color of the dunes and the dance of shadows is breathtaking. The journey continues through the Dra'a Valley via Tazzarine (as shown in the film 'Babel') and on to N'Qob for lunch. We travel up the Dra'a Valley towards Agdez in the afternoon, passing oasis and Kasbahs along the way. Kasbah Tamnougalte, the oldest kasbah in the Dra'a Valley, is located near Agdez and you will have time to visit it. Some areas are in ruins, while others are fully populated. The day's ride concludes with a crossing of the Tizi-n-Tinfifite pass to Ouarzazate. You will spend the night here.

DAY 4 - OURZAZATTE TO MARRAKECH:

After breakfast, we go to Kasbah Taourirt, which belonged to the Glaoui family, Marrakesh's Pashas. Driving north, you leave the main road and follow a minor road to Ait Benhaddou, which was also owned by the Glaoui family, the Lords of the Atlas. This is Morocco's most famous Kasbah and a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is also well-known for serving as the setting for many Hollywood blockbusters. The drive then continues through the Ounila valley, passing through lovely and prosperous communities, spectacular mountains, and breathtaking vistas to Telouet, where you will stop to explore the Kasbah and possibly have lunch. Alternatively, we'll have lunch in the mountains! We arrive at Marrakesh in the early evening..
